I saw this movie twice this long weekend. Once by myself and the other time with my girlfriend. I really enjoyed it. It is everything I want from these two characters, a good fun stand alone story. I don't want these characters to be pushing the Star Wars narrative forward. These characters aren't built for that.

I will say this movie does feel like the first half of a TV season. While I found it to be annoying with Jack Ryan: Ghost War, I thought it worked here. I am a big fan of the show, but my major complaint was the seasons often felt padded. This felt very streamlined. This movie is playing the hits, you’re not getting b sides or new material. I can understand if people are upset about that, but for me it worked. The final season went a little too heavy with the lore. I'm happy to get back to good stand alone stories again. I would be beyond happy if they make a good stand alone film like this every couple of years.

My review is a strong B+. I recommend it. I thought it was great to see it with a crowd, but we all know it's going to end up on Disney plus by the end of the summer, so if you decide to wait I understand.
