Disclosure Day (2026)

Minor spoilers ahead you can stop after the first paragraph if you want to avoid them. My review is a C+. I recommend waiting for streaming on this one. I want to give it a higher grade, but I can't. Nothing is wrong with it, but it feels like it never gets out of first gear. The train sequence and the farmhouse scenes feel like film is stretching its legs, but quickly returns back to first gear.

Normally I would say a movie like this doesn't know what it wants to do or was too much on its plate, but I can't say that for this movie. This movie has a clear goal and a strong sense on how to get there, it is just the ending isn't that great. It's a two hour plus movie with great action set pieces that ends with humanity watching a video essay on their phones. It's a such a let down. It felt a disappoint taste in my mouth. Maybe it will get better on rewatches.

Emily Blunt is great in this. I don't think this movie is going to get nominated for anything that isn't behind the scenes stuff, but it’s worth seeing the film for that.
